DESCRIPTION:Year 2025 is the election year of county and municipal elections. The candidates who are to be elected have their say on matters\, that may prove to be of interest to you\, for example:\n\nWho gets access to public health care\nWho gets to work in public services – and at what terms\nHow many children are allowed in a group of one kindergarten/school teacher\nShould be subsidize public transport or build more roads\nHow much should dental care cost for students\n\nThese and many more are to be resolved by the newly elected candidates of these two elections in 2025. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more.\nAim of the training\nAfter participating in this training\, you will know about your right to vote. Yes\, you don’t have to be a Finnish citizen to be able to vote in Municipal elections. You will also learn\, how these elections affect ordinary employees or entrepreneurs. You shall also get a good presentation on major political parties in Finland and what they wish to achieve.\nTarget group\nThis training is targeted at members\, who have moved to Finland from elsewhere and who therefore have little or no knowledge of Finnish election system. This training is also targeted at people\, who don’t vote\, because they feel that they don’t know enough of Finnish political parties that they could make a good choice. \nKeynote speakers\nSanna Hämäläinen is the chairman of Helsinki electoral district organization of National Coalition Party.\nTraining producer Jukka Peltokoski\, Left Alliance\, is a party active and instructor.\nElection coordinator Juha Iso-Aho\, Centre Party develops and coordinates the election campaigns of the party.\nPolicy Advisor Joel Sundström SFP Party\, works as a campaign coordinator.\nWaqar Zafar from Social Democratic Party of Finland is the chairman of SDP-International. He runs political network\, that engages and facilitates individuals from multicultural and immigrant backgrounds.\nThe training is free of charge for Loimu members.
