Trade unions and central organizations participate in all the stages of the discussions and law making between government officials, politicians and employer associations when new labour legislation is being made in Finland (the so-called tripartite system).
With the current government things have been more difficult than ever especially when it comes to internation experts, other foreign workforce and their rights, and actions have been needed to be taken. The real reason for belonging to trade unions is the chance to influence matters together, not e.g., access to financial and other benefits.
Come and hear about the final legal outcome and how we try and influence the labour legislation in Finland!
