This training is tailored for Loimu members and beneficial for all scientist working in industry / production / lab etc. invironment to understand the basics about quality management. Quality management is usually not taught in university degrees, but much needed in real-life work.

International ISO 9001 is the foundation of quality work and sets requirements for quality management.

This session introduces the globally recognized ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management system (QMS) and presents areas to focus on when building processes in your company to ensure that regulatory and customer requirements are met.

This session will introduce the principles of process-based approach and risk-based thinking. 

By the end of the course you will understand the requirements of this standard and know how to implement them.

Learning goals:

• Get an overview of quality management and ISO 9001 standard
• Understand the principles of process-based approach and risk-based thinking
• Understand the significance of ISO 9001 standard to product quality, product safety and satisfaction of the customers and the interested parties
• Know how to implement the requirements of the standard

Training is organized in Teams. Interactive elements can be included using e.g. Socrative, Kahoot or Mentimeter.Training will be held in English. The participants will recieve a certificate after completing the training.
